We collaborate only with state wood suppliers who adhere to the principles of sustainable forestry. This means we support the harvesting of only those trees that are sustainable for natural regrowth, maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.

Bio-Circular Economy

We actively implement the principles of the bio-circular economy in our operations. This means we strive for waste-free production, where every element of our products can be reused or recycled. All waste generated during the manufacturing process is recycled and used to create new products or energy, reducing our environmental footprint.

Biodiversity

Biodiversity is a true driving force behind a sustainable circular bioeconomy. Our company actively supports the preservation of biodiversity, understanding that healthy ecosystems are the foundation for sustainable forestry. Since 2022, Millwood has been participating in the Horizon Europe program of the European Commission (Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services), in the CircHive project (Developing & piloting biodiversity footprinting & natural capital accounting via a 'beehive' of sectoral hubs for a sustainable transition to a circular EU bioeconomy) as a consortium member, with the overall goal of integrating the value of nature into public and business decisions.
